A global agency is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join their team in Barcelona (Sagrada Familia area) for a contract role. The successful candidate will work closely with the agency’s pharmaceutical client to lead the development of full-stack solutions, with a focus on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris). This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual with deep expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud, as well as modern front-end technologies like React or Angular. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of eCommerce initiatives and leading a technical team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of full-stack solutions, managing both front-end and back-end architecture
- Oversee the implementation of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) for eCommerce projects, ensuring it meets client requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including business analysts, product owners, and developers) to ensure alignment with client objectives
- Work with React and Angular for front-end development, ensuring optimal code quality and performance
- Utilise Spartacus (a nice-to-have) for front-end solutions in SAP Commerce environments
- Mentor and guide a team of developers, promoting best practices in coding, design, and testing
- Provide technical leadership, making key decisions on technical direction and ensuring the system’s scalability, security, and performance
- Act as the main point of contact for all technical queries related to the project
Required Experience/Skills:
- Strong experience as a Tech Lead, with a focus on full-stack development
- Extensive experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), which should be the core technology used in your previous roles
- Proficiency in React and Angular for front-end development
- Experience with Spartacus is a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, scalability, and performance optimisation
- Ability to manage and mentor technical teams, collaborating effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
Additional Information
- The role is based in Barcelona, with the requirement to work in the office 2-3 days per week (Sagrada Familia area)
- The contract is for 1 year, with a high likelihood of extension
- Travel, accommodation, and meals can be expensed as part of the contract
- ASAP start date is preferred, so candidates who are available to start quickly will be prioritised
