Simply Commerce are partnered with a leading health and safety equipment provider that are looking for someone to join their team of 4 Data Governance Specialists.
In this role you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing data policies, procedures and standards that drive business efficiencies and give our organisation a competitive edge.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices.
- Working with cross-functional teams to document identified activities for automation in areas such as data quality monitoring, metadata management, or master data management.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective communication and collaboration on projects related to master data.
- Monitoring and measuring compliance with data governance policies/standards and identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
- Collaborating with the Data Engineering team to ensure that data pipelines and systems adhere to data governance policies and standards.
Experience/Skills:
- In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK). Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Around 2 years experience in a Data Governance / Analyst type role.
- Extensive knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations relevant to the UK and Ireland.
- Experience with data management practices, including data quality, data integration, and master data management
- Familiarity with data governance & quality tools and methodologies. (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Knowledge of data modelling and database management systems.
